B.A. (Programme)  •  Notice dated 22 October 2026  •  Last checked 28 October 2026

The DU SOL Internal Assessment Time Table 2026 for B.A. (Programme) Semester III and V is available. The announced online MCQ assessment window runs from 1 to 15 November 2026. Students are directed to the PRAGYAN portal for the assessment.

This is a single assessment window, not a subject-by-subject theory examination timetable. Before starting a test, confirm your programme and the registered papers displayed on your own student dashboard. This DU SOL INFO guide explains the schedule, login steps, reported rules and what to do when the portal causes problems.

Important scope:  This circular is for B.A. (Programme) Semester III and V. Do not assume that B.A. (Honours), B.Com, PG programmes or other semesters follow the same dates.

Semester 3 and 5: What Are the Assessment Dates?

Short answer: Both B.A. (Programme) Semester III and V students have the same notified window of 1–15 November 2026. The published notice summary does not set out separate fixed examination days for every individual paper.

Semester III and Semester V: both run from 1 to 15 November 2026. For individual papers, use the eligible subject list on your PRAGYAN dashboard.

This does not mean every enrolled student has exactly the same paper list. Courses and available assessments can differ by subject combination and registration record. If a paper is missing, verify your enrolled subjects and raise a query early rather than guessing a date.

How to Find and Save the Official Date Sheet PDF

1.  Open the University of Delhi SOL notices page: https://sol.du.ac.in/all-notices.php.

2.  Look for “Date sheet for Internal Assessment for B.A(Programme) courses Sem 03 and Sem 05”.

3.  Open the attached document and check that its programme, semesters and notice date match your details.

4.  Save the PDF to your phone or laptop. Check the notice page again before the window opens for any correction or additional instructions.

Use the original attachment linked by SOL rather than an unverified PDF circulated through social media. A stable direct attachment link could not be independently confirmed during this editorial check, so the official notice index is the safer link to share.

Who Should Follow This Notice?

The circular identifies B.A. (Programme) students registered in Semester III or V. B.A. (Programme) can include different subject combinations; eligibility should be established from the exact course on your admission record, not from a list copied from another website.

If you study B.A. (Honours), B.Com, a postgraduate course, or are an ex-student/ER candidate, do not automatically apply these dates to your case. Look for the notice covering your programme and session. If you cannot identify the correct circular, contact SOL before attempting any assessment.

Semester III students who need help with their current admission records can also read the DU SOL Semester 3 admission guide.

How to Log In and Complete the MCQ Assessment

The notified access route is the PRAGYAN assessment portal. Keep your SOL roll number and barcode ready from your admission record. Do not confuse the assessment login with the separate exam-form or result portal.

1.  Open https://pragyan.oldcdu.ac.in/login in your browser.

2.  Choose the Student login option, where shown.

3.  Enter your SOL roll number and barcode exactly as recorded on your admission document.

4.  After signing in, review the paper list on your dashboard. Check the paper title and any displayed instructions.

5.  Use the mock test if it is offered. Begin the actual assessment only when you have uninterrupted time and stable internet.

6.  Complete and submit the test according to the on-screen rules. Save visible completion or score evidence for your own records.

For a separate walkthrough of portal access, see the DU SOL INFO PRAGYAN login guide.

Reported MCQ Rules Students Should Know

Contemporaneous coverage of the October 2026 circular reports the following instructions. The original signed PDF remains authoritative if any detail on the portal or in an updated notice differs:

  • Window: the assessment is announced for 1–15 November 2026; no general extension is indicated in the reported notice.
  • Attempts: up to two attempts per paper are reported, with the higher score counted.
  • Duration: 45 minutes per assessment; 90 minutes is reported for eligible PwBD students.
  • Device: use a desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection wherever possible.
  • Browser: avoid switching tabs or windows during the timed test, as this may cause automatic submission.
  • Evidence: save a screenshot of the final score or completion status until your semester results are available.

Before you click Start:  Do not rely on screenshots or older semester rules alone. Read the current notice and the on-screen instructions, especially the time limit, attempt count and submission behaviour.

What to Check Before the Assessment Opens

  • Confirm that your programme is B.A. (Programme) and your semester is III or V.

  • Keep your roll number and barcode private and accessible.
  • Test the portal login ahead of the assessment, if access is available.
  • Review the subject names shown in your dashboard and compare them with your registered subjects.
  • Choose a quiet time, charge your laptop and ensure the internet is stable.
  • Attempt early in the window so a technical problem can be reported during working days.

Common Login and Assessment Problems: What to Do

Technical problems are stressful when an assessment has a fixed window. These are practical troubleshooting steps, not university guarantees about resetting or restoring an attempt.

Roll number or barcode rejected:  Compare the details with your admission record; avoid repeated guesses and contact official support.

A registered paper is missing:  Take a screenshot of the paper list, note the missing subject and submit a specific query.

Test is not opening:  Check your connection and browser; capture the displayed error before restarting or trying again.

Portal freezes or auto-submits:  Record the paper, approximate time and visible status. Ask SOL whether an attempt was recorded.

Score or submission status missing:  Save the visible screen and report the paper name and submission time through official support.

Official Helpdesk and Grievance Route

Use the official COL-GRAM grievance portal for academic or administrative complaints. Keep the tracking number provided after submission. The University’s main SOL notices page currently shows helpdesk numbers 011-65213030 and 011-27008300 and support hours of Monday–Friday, 9:30 am–5:30 pm.

In a complaint, mention your programme, semester, paper name, error message and approximate time. Share screenshots only through appropriate official channels; never post your barcode or login details in public groups.

Internal Assessment vs December–January Theory Exams

An internal assessment and a semester theory examination are different academic activities. Following the wrong date sheet could cause you to miss an assessment or attend the wrong exam slot.

Internal assessment

Semester theory examination

Online MCQ window: 1–15 November 2026

Separate paper-wise dates and timings

Access through PRAGYAN

Follow instructions in the applicable DU examination date sheet and admit card

Check the SOL programme-specific notice

Check the University of Delhi Examination Wing

The DU Examination Wing website lists the December/January 2026–27 date sheet section. Always choose the PDF matching your programme, semester and academic scheme. Do not use a theory date sheet as your internal assessment schedule.

What Happens If You Miss the 15 November Window?

The circulated October notice summary states that the online window closes on 15 November 2026 and does not promise an extension. There is no basis to assume an automatic make-up test, extra attempt or reopening for every student.

If a technical or personal difficulty stops you from completing an assessment, report it through an official channel during the active window and keep a record of the complaint. Only SOL can decide whether any case-specific remedy applies. A reopening in an earlier session does not guarantee one in this session.

What Students Should Do Next

Start with the signed SOL notice, confirm your B.A. (Programme) semester, and check your login details before 1 November. Use the mock assessment if available, finish each required paper ahead of the last day, and keep proof of your completion. If a paper is missing or the portal fails, report it promptly rather than waiting until 15 November.

DU SOL INFO provides independent student guidance. For a general explanation of the test interface and MCQ format, read our internal assessment MCQ guide. The latest official circular takes priority over older blog instructions.
